Oh, by the way – they formed a new coalition government in Poland. Again.

I find the behaviour of these people so ludicrous that I’ll leave it to a couple of links.

Old-is-new coalition bodes more turbulence for Poland, Raw Story

Poland: Is this really interesting news?, fxstreet.com

It's probably better just to ignore them.

Meet the new coalition, same as the old coalition (but with new added unwieldiness and extra bad blood!).

Reminds me of the song: "Send in the clowns"

What I find unbelievable is a man who the PM only three weeks ago was calling a ‘cham’ is now back in the government and head of the Ministry of Scumbags. And Pan Scumbag himself and his party, who three weeks ago were accusing the government of corruption and helping set up secret cameras to catch them in the act, are now back in that same corrupt government.

And we are meant to take them seriously? We are meant to believe that they are resuscitating public and political life?

This will further alienate Poles from political life – and that’s BAD.

What we are watching is the ducks single-minded approach to get to their desired goal. As far as hating the coalition partners more and being unable to get along, well they hated each other intensely from the start. That dial can’t be turned up much more than it is.

After so many years of totalitarian government the concept of the end justifying the means is deeply rooted in their generation.

The ducks are predictable, their not in government doing their civic duty or a craving for power but rather on a crusade to reshape Poland to some image they formulated over the years. Therefore anything goes.

The next few months will be a repeat of the first few months until the next crisis, with the exception that there will be intense behind the scenes activities in preparation for the next battle/crisis as no one wishes to be at the OK Choral without bullets.

Look for the next crisis by early spring, no one likes winter elections.

Mr. Tusk’s lacklustre performance in this situation/political opportunity was disappointing; I would expect PO to start thinking about another leader.

The standard equipment for coping with Polish politics continues to be an airsickness bag.

Unless you're fascist.

Heck, it's alienating me, and I love politics and I'm not even Polish!

He's always been disappointing. He always fails to make hay out of excellent opportunities. I totally agree they need new leadership. But would that help? They had Olechowski, Rokita...

I loved the comment made by PiS' Whip Marek Kuchciński: "We choose the reform of the state, even at the expense of our image."
How thoughtful of them! Despite nobody liking them or what they stand for, they're going to do it anyway.
Tusk has disappointed me too. One wonders whether a PO government would really make much difference -we could just end up with a different set of people squabbling.
I'm beginning to understand Poles' disillusion with their politics.

The government of Poland is now resembling a revolving door. Don't like this coalition?... just wait a week or so and another will be formed.
