Another PR disaster for LPR…

Maciej Giertych’s assistant joins in the fun at neo-nazi party.

dziennik.pl reports film evidence of a neo-nazi party (that’s having a good time ‘party’, but maybe not only) two years ago in Silesia, with lots of drinking, cries of ‘Sieg Heil’ and burning swastikas etc, attended by members of the All-Polish Youth (Młodzieży Wszechpolska), the Giertych-jungen of the League of Polish Families (LPR).

It gets worse. Spotted at the neo-nazi knees-up was a female assistant of Maciej Giertych, Euro MP and senior member of LPR.

Holding nazi type gatherings is illegal in Poland under article 256 of the penal code.

Leader of LPR, Roman Giertych (and former president of Młodzieży Wszechpolska), denies any knowledge of the matter and says that any perpetrator of improper behaviour must be punished – ‘and that includes All Polish Youth.”

In July this year, the editor of Zielony Sztandar printed an apology for accusations that All Polish Youth were fascist sloganizers, promoting violence and criminal activity. I bet he wishes he had to stuck to his guns.

Don’t forget to support All-Polish Youth’s jolly web site in English. It has comment boxes like a blog, so I am sure they will be glad to hear what you think.

I like this description, 'a female assistant of Maciej Giertych, Euro MP and senior member of LPR'...

Was she wearing a Che Guevara t-shirt too ?

Beatroot said “Neo-nazi party”, isn’t that a bit harsh and perhaps a superficial judgement. This burning cross could have been a Buddhism symbol or góralski krzyż or for that matter a sacred symbol in Hinduism. This Sieg Heil stuff was likely a group of German tourists who when walking by responded to an uncontrolled genetic urge at the site of the symbol. Once again these misunderstood young people find themselves crucified by media.

I read the Wikipedia article, that you directed me to in the post.

Did the gay rights and women's groups demonstration use nonviolence when pelted? They should just be squashed.

Beatroot,

Thanks for the link to their site.

It's been reported that these scumbags are organising with the UK's like-minded scumbags in the UK.

This group has about 3000 members and receives disproportionate media attention inside and outside of Poland. On the political scene it generates more attention per member than any other organization in Poland. They are however .007 % of the population which amounts to nothing when compared to the medical profession suggesting the around 5 % of the population are mentally ill in some form. In the big picture they are politically irrelevant. In a bizarre twist it’s interesting too see groups committed to xenophobic ideas work together with groups from the UK and Germany, isn’t the whole idea to hate each other? There will always be discontented fringe groups. The numbers are hard to find but it looks like the US and Russia lead the pack with the largest numbers of groups and membership. The US has around 800 plus groups and Russia has a 150 plus groups with 10,000 active members. In Europe Austria and Germany seem to lead the pack but the numbers are small. Although I couldn’t find good data on membership the proportion of political crazies to the general population in Poland is not alarming. Starving this group of media attention might be the best way of making them disappear.

US and Russia lead the pack

Actually, it's Iran, Palestine and ebanon that 'lead the pack' here. In Iran a Holocaust-denying neo-Nazi is A PRESIDENT. In Palestine, neo-Nazi Holocaust-denying Hamas has recently won an election. And in Lebanon, neo-Nazi Holocaust-denying Hezbollah rules one third of the country.

It seems like only the Poles don't have the right to hate Jews. Muslims who hate Jews become partners in peace negotations...

Top Cat,

Truth hurts. But Jannovak is right, people from the land of Timothy McVeigh have no right to condemn others for extremism.

Btw, I mentioned this post on my blog here.

What the government is doing is considering banning All POlish Youth. Giertych might lose his Education Ministry. There is nothing he can do about it as LPR are toast in the polls. Giertych senior has sacked his lady assistant.

All in all, a good result! Though banning organizations is not a good move...

I love America and Americans, I’ve even let that Yalta business slide right by.

What insults, I can’t do anything about data and statistics the numbers are the numbers. The magnitude of the problem can’t be assessed without comparison to other societies. It’s not logical to expect that Poland is free of political extremists but equally not logical to declare there’s crisis when in fact there’s not. All societies have a political fringe but if the size, political influence and organizational capability are of no consequence, then you don’t have a problem. The All-Polish Youth hasn’t attracted much support and remains static at approximately 3,000 members not much to show for, after 17 years of recruiting.

European Neo-Nazis organizations are heavily reliant on US hate groups and this has developed something of an export industry. The production of Nazis regalia, publications and Website hosting is illegal in many areas of Europe so American groups provide items and services.

To ban this group would be a mistake in light of Polish history, they’re dumb enough to self-destruct without anybodies help.

Poland is not a society in which you wish to create nationalist martyrs.

What a bunch of pathetic insignificant young turds. I noticed one short essay in the web site attacking Jacek Kuron for purportedly devoting his entire life to introducing Trotskyism (the turd couldn't spell it, either) to Poland. A pity that such turds have the freedom to be the turds they are today because Jacek Kuron fought courageously risking his life time and time again against the communist regime. Hilarious, too, when I went to the website, the google ads that were running were for gay cruises.

33 and third: do I get the impression you think MW are a bunch of turds? I noticed the Kuron thing too. Their type always did hate him. Ex-commie reformist, secularist, friend of Jews...

And Jan is right - banning these guys will do their minority interest politics more good than harm.

As you say, not really surprising as he and all his other little mates, were skins anyway. He can put on a gay pair of glasses, but a thug is a thug. Period.

The history of perfume goes back to Egypt, although it was prevalent in East Asia as well. Early perfumes were based on incense, not chemicals, so aromas were passed around through fumes. The Roman and Islamic cultures further refined the harvesting and manufacturing of perfumery processes to include other aromatic ingredients.

Thus, the ancient Islamic culture marked the history of modern perfumery with the introduction of spices and herbs. Fragrances and other exotic substances, such as Jasmine and Citruses, were adapted to be harvested in climates outside of their indigenous Asia.

Ah….the sweet, smell of perfume! Today's market is flooded with hundreds and hundreds of different fragrances ranging

from floral to woodsy. Most women love the smell of perfume, wearing it even when going to the grocery store. The problem

is that perfume allergy for some women, is anything but nice.

Choosing the right perfume can be difficult and because it is also considered an intimate gift buying the wrong perfume

can backfire on you and get you the opposite result of that which you hoped for.

The first thing you need to do is do some homework, meaning research. Look at your lady's perfume bottles, the ones that

are nearly empty will be her favorites. If there is one there that is nearly full chances are she doesn't wear it often

or doesn't like it. Hint around and ask her what types of fragrances she likes and dislikes.

Humans are very sensory oriented and our sense of smell is no different. Certain perfumes can elicit strong reactions in

both the wearer and the person reacting to the scent. Perfumes are made not only to attract but to also relax someone. If

you aren't totally sure what kind of perfume to buy you can always play it safe and get something in the aromatherapy

line. If you go this route, bear in mind that vanilla scents are considered to relax and a peppermint or lemon scent will

be more stimulating.

And what do you know about these perfumes for women?
